This week there are several new movies playing in theaters around Rome in english.
Moonlight portrays the life of a troubled black child growing up in a violent area in Miami as he searches for his identity. The movie was rated 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and will be showing from the 9th to the 15th at Cinema Nuovo Olimpia on Via del Corso.
Jackie, starring Natalie Portman as Jacqueline Kennedy tells the tragic story of the JFK assassination through the eyes of the first lady. It was rated 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and will be showing from the 9th to the 15th at Cinema Fiamma near Piazza Barberini.

Hidden Figures reveals the untold story of how three African-American women working at NASA helped to get a man into orbit and change the “Space Race” in favor of the US. The movie was given a 7.9/10 on IMDB and will be playing from the 9th to the 15th at Cinema Odeon (Corso Francia), Cinema Fiamma (Piazza Barberini), and Cinema Lux (Quartiere Africano).

There are also two museum events going on for several more weeks.
The Museum Beauty Contest is a display of Galleria Nazionale’s 18 most beautiful portraits which people can vote on. The display will be open until May first, however voting closes on the 27th of March.
The Capitoline Museums are open from 8 until 12 every Saturday night until the 25th with live music, food, and theatre, with tickets costing only 1 euro.
