Serbia’s best tennis player Novak Djokovic is officially the second player on the ATP list.

By winning the title in Shanghai, Djokovic continued the fantastic second half of the year and rode Federer to another position. Novak now has 7.445 points and ahead of him is only Rafael Nadal with 215 points more and will end up with a great fight for the first place on the list at the end of the season.

By the end of the season, Novak will certainly take part in the Masters in Paris and the final ATP tournament in London, and there is a possibility, as he himself announced, to play before either in Vienna or in Basel, on an ATP 500 tournament. the tournament will be played from October 22 to 28.

If Djokovic would participate in Vienna and Basel and came to the finals, since he did not defend anything, he won 300 points and overtook Nadal. So, it’s realistic to see Serbian tennis players at the top of the ATP list by the end of October.

It is realistic that Djokovic plays in Vienna, says the director of the tournament, Hervig Strako.

‘I’m with Nadal in everyday contact. It is known that he plays only if he is 100% ready, and the chance to appear in Vienna is almost nonexistent. That is why we are moving to Plan B, intensifying negotiations with Djokovic, in order to bring at least one true star’, Strak said.

Nadal is still suffering from his knew injury, and it is unknown when he will return to the court. It could be in Paris or London, and it could easily happen and pause by the end of the year.
